Last night, the rooftop at the Contemporary Austin was filled with the city's best bartenders and industry superstars in celebration of the 2017 Time Out Austin Bar Awards. Guests from the 32 nominated bars joined fellow industry colleagues and Time Out staffers as we named winners in nine different categories; the nominees and winners were all chosen by an expert panel of judges.
Both newcomers and veterans took home awards this year, from Backbeat for Best New Bar to The Roosevelt Room for Bar of the Year to Firehouse Lounge for Best Bar Family. Brand ambassadors included Charlotte Voisey with Monkey Shoulder and Vance Henderson of Drambuie to help announce the winners for Best Bar Family and Bar of the Year, respectively.
Guests enjoyed cocktails from William Grant and Sons featuring Monkey Shoulder and Drambuie, as well as Segura Viudas and Peroni. Check out photos from the festive evening below:
