No more lining up for an hour at Veracruz's East Austin or Manchaca taco truck (though, let's be real, you're probably going to do that too). The popular eatery has finally opened its brick-and-mortar location off Burnet Road, with initial hours from 7am to 3pm daily.
The restaurant, which will host an official grand opening on October 7, boasts a menu that includes all of their beloved tacos—including those migas that put Veracruz on the map—but also dishes like cochinita pibil and chicken mole enchiladas, plus new tacos (hello, shrimp macha). Inside, diners will find a rustic, casual layout, with a separate coffee bar that serves everything from cappuccinos to hot chocolate to Topo Chico (the coffee comes from Machine Head Coffee).
This is the second brick and mortar location for Veracruz owners (and sisters) Maritza and Reyna Vazquez, with the first located in Round Rock. The new restaurant can be found at 9003 Waterford Centre Blvd, Suite 180.
