Well past paper and far beyond bronze, this year marks the 85th diamond anniversary for Austin's heralded ZACH Theatre, the oldest continually running theater in Texas. To celebrate the occasion, ZACH has announced its 2017-2018 lineup—and there are more than a few quality shows to catch this year.

Singin' in the Rain will run from September 27 to October 29, featuring beloved songs like "Good Morning" and Singin' in the Rain's namesake tune that we've all definitely belted in the shower a few times. Directed by Abe Reybold, choreographed by Dominique Kelley and with musical direction by Allen Robertson, the musical is a classic for the ages—and you can better believe they're making it rain on stage.

Over the holidays, A Tuna Christmas will run from November 1 to December 31. This Texas-centric play—it takes place in Tuna, "the third smallest town in Texas"—tells the story of small town life through 22 citizens (played by only two actors), with enough satire and hysterics to make everyone laugh until they cry.

In 2018, ZACH Theatre will feature Sunday in the Park with George (May 30-June 24), Heisenberg (June 20-July 22) and Beauty and the Beast (July 11-Sep 2). And, of course, ZACH Theatre for Families Series is returning, with a two-person adaptation of The Lion, the Witch, and the WardrobeHoliday HeroesGoodnight Moon; and a new bilingual show Las Adventuras de Enoughie: Un Cuento de Kindness (The Adventures of Enoughie: A Story of Kindness).

Singin' in the Rain, Heisenberg and a soon-to-be-announced (and Tony Award-winning!) play have never been seen on an Austin stage before, so its truly a special season at ZACH. Additional details of the Diamond 85th Season Celebration will be announced at a later date. Subscriptions go on sale in mid-May; for more ticket details, check out ZACH Theatre's website
