The long-awaited café and restaurant Hank's opened this past weekend, bringing coffee, pastries, lunch, dinner and cocktails to Windsor Park—oh, and a huge patio where you can enjoy all of the aforementioned goodies. How much were people looking forward to this spot, which comes to us from husband-and-wife team Jessie Katz and Andy Means? Hank's was so popular over the weekend that they're closed today to restock. Don't worry, though—they'll be back in action tomorrow.

The space, beautifully designed by Claire Zinnecker, is an all-day affair, starting with coffee and pastries in the morning (Hank's opens at 7am daily) before segueing into lunch at 11am. The restaurant and bar opens at 4pm daily, serving food and drinks until 10pm Sunday through Thursday, and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

So what's on the menu? Well, a little bit of everything—cheese boards, baked ricotta and oysters to start; soups, salads and sandwiches (including avocado toast, grilled cheese, and steak and gouda); and a slew of entrées: spicy fusilli pasta, veggie tacos, steak and fried chicken, among others. In addition to the morning pastries (donuts and kolaches), Hank's offers desserts, too, including crème brûlée and flourless chocolate cake.

One of the restaurant's most striking components is its massive patio that stretches along both the restaurant and the café (which are actually two separate rooms). Bright and inviting, it's going to be a perfect spot to sip drinks once the sun starts showing up (though with $5 frozen cocktails at happy hour, who needs to wait for the sun).

Hank's is located at 5811 Berkman Dr, ste 100. Can't sit and stay for a bit? There's a drive-thru window as well.
