It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 15

Star Wars: The Last Jedi
It's one of the most anticipated openings of the year—Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now out in theaters, and if you're seeing it at the Alamo, you have an entire Star Wars-themed menu to look forward to. Grab your tickets, order some Lava Planet popcorn and get ready for an incredible movie (read our review if you're still on the fence). Now open at various times

Metz
You may not know it yet, but the one thing that your warm, sleigh-bell season needs is Metz. The punk rockers recently put out a heavy, well-received effort called Strange Peace; songs from the album are sure to kill live. Fri at 8pm

Sat 16

Armadillo Christmas Bazaar
The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar is now open for business, a beloved shopping experience that will be around for the next ten days. More than 160 artists display their wares, and you can take a break from shopping with the bazaar's bars, food vendors and daily live bands. Fri, Sat, Sun at 11am

Day for Night
This festival may be in Houston, but we'd be remiss to leave it out—plus, tickets are still on sale. Held in a massive post office, Day for Night is both a music fest and an art show, with big name acts that include Nine Inch Nails, Thom Yorke, Solange, St. Vincent, Jamie XX and more, along with art installations by Ryoji Ikeda, James Clar, Hovver and other talented artists. Sat, Sun at noon

Sun 17

A Karaoke Christmas Carol
It's A Christmas Carol performed through karaoke, plus some games—like trying to photograph the "Seven Christmas Miracles" as a ghost kissing herself. Find the fun in Rude Mechs #crushAustin space in the Austin American-Statesman's old warehouse. Sun at 8pm
