Mondays are for Literaoke! Head to the Vortex's Butterfly Bar at 7pm to celebrate American Short Fiction's newest issue with an evening of readings, thematically-related karaoke songs and a big pile of pasta from Patrizi's if you're feeling peckish. Authors include Deb Olin Unferth, Juli Berwald and Michael Noll. And good news: it's happy hour all night.

There's a new happy hour in town, this time at one of Austin's best Thai restaurants. Sway just launched a stellar HH, available Monday through Friday from 3 to 6pm in the bar and patio area. You'll find $2 off specialty cocktails, like To Magnolia City With Love (rum, lychee, fresh orange, cherry), plus half off wines by the glass, sake and draught beer. Not only that, but the restaurant is offering their limited Songkran menu until April 15, filled with menu items that include tempura-fried alligator, red snapper and panna cotta.
