It's Presidents Day, which means most of you will have the day off (hooray!). Sleep in, catch up on some reading (or Netflix) and head out into the world for some of our favorite activities happening today:

First up—Wu Chow's Chinese New Year party starts at 5pm, featuring all sorts of good stuff: Plush Wu Chow pandas, an Austin Pets Alive Puppy Party from 5-7pm, and lion dancers at 7pm. There will be drink specials and passed appetizers, but no formal dinner.

It's Launderette's third birthday today (y'all don't look a day over two!) and they're celebrating with free birthday cake ice cream sandwiches (yeah, the famous ones) for everyone who dines at the restaurant. Translation: Make a reservation STAT.

As part of AFS Cinema's 10 Years of Oscilloscope Pictures, the movie theater will be screening Kedi today. Documentarian Ceyda Torun documents the lives of Istanbul's roaming felines as they coexist with the human population. The 7:30pm screening will feature a pre-film discussion with Monica Frenden, director of Feline Lifesaving at Austin Pets Alive.
