Hey, how's that Super Bowl hangover doing? May we recommend pad thai as a cure? Austin dinner club Taster's Table Club is throwing a pad thai smackdown tonight, featuring five Austin chefs: Holy Roller's Callie Speer, Peached Tortilla's Eric Silverstein, Bonhomie's Phillip Speer, Pretty Thai's Robert Strong and Central Standard's Casey Wilcox. Tickets including passed apps, pad thai samples from the competitors and open bar access.

Catch a free preview of the indie rock band Typhoon's Tuesday show at Mohawk at an in-store performance at Waterloo. The Portland group's newest album, Offerings, is divided into four movements: floodplains, flood, reckoning and afterparty.

It's free cheese week—at least according to Antonelli's Cheese Shop, which is celebrating its eight-year anniversary for the next five days. The shop is offering free cheeseboards at various locations throughout the week; today, you can find them at Backbeat, Blackstar Co-op, Max’s Wine Dive starting at 5pm. Supplies are limited, so get on it!
