Catch Amy Hempel—the award-winning author of Reasons to LiveAt the Gates of the Animal KingdomTumble Home and more—at the Avaya Auditorium on UT's campus at 7:30pm tonight. Remember to bring your questions—the award-winning writer will likely field them after a reading.

If you're a fan of sours, you'll want to head to Blue Owl Brewing tonight for the release of SMash SMaSH Sour IPA. Sure, the name doesn't roll off the tongue so easily, but hear us out: the IPA is the result of a Single Malt and Single Hop (SMaSH) IPA that goes through their Sour Mash (SMash) process. This first iteration features Texas Pale Moon Pale Ale malt from Blacklands paired with Mosaic hops; give it a taste anytime from 3 to 10pm.

Every now and then, we feel the need to scratch our ’80s Schwarzenegger itch. Enter Craft Pride: Every Wednesday this month, the Rainey Street bar is showing Schwarzenegger films during their Wednesday Night Flix—tonight, catch Twins while enjoying a beer and a slice of pizza from Via 313.
