Stepping into Bar Toti feels like walking into a friend’s dinner party. The intimate 40-seat restaurant features mosaic tiled floors, a long communal table and fringe pendant lamps that exude warmth and charm. The space works for date nights or small group dinners, and the staff is eager to step in as tie-breakers when you’re torn between dishes. Even as a meat eater, I was blown away by the plant-based options, many of the ingredients are sourced from the on-site half-acre Este Garden. The muhammara—a smoky pepper and pecan dip served with grilled bread—makes a strong first impression, while the hongos a la placha, a mushroom medley with aged manchego and egg yolk, is rich and indulgent. The wine list is small but curated, and the cocktail menu offers ample variety. Either way, you’re in good hands.
