East Side Showroom is a boutique restaurant and bar located on uber-hip East Sixth St. With its pre-WWII vintage Euro ambiance, East Side Showroom was one of the first new-gen bars to not only open on the East side but to flourish. The bar stands as the crown jewel of East Sixth street amongst the sea of dives—albeit, well-stocked dives—frequented by tattooed twenty-somethings. Every cocktail is precisely executed, whether it’s a traditional old-fashioned or a re-interpreted classic like the Escort (Del Maguey Vida, Gran Classico, Cocchi Rosa, burlesque bitters). The kitchen puts out locally-sourced small plates; the mussels served in a fragrant broth and grilled bread are a favorite.
