The beauty of Karen Gomyo’s playing, musicality and her presence should be enough to want you to come, but the Austin Symphony will even throw in incredible pieces by Dukas, Glazunov, and Sibelius.
Still want more? How about playing on some violins provided by our friends at Violin’s Etc.? We also have a wonderful pre-concert talk given by Bob Buckalew at 7:10 pm. How about “tweeting” with our musicians and Maestro Bay? The Austin Symphony wants you to get the most out of your concert experience. When we ask, “What Brings You Here” we hope you say, “Everything!”
Program:
Paul Dukas Fanfare for La Peri
Alexander Glazunov Wedding March, Op. 21
Jean Sibelius Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op. 47
Jean Sibelius Symphony No. 1 in E Minor, Op. 39
