Benefit For The Silent City says
The Silent City is an interactive/intermedia experience coming to The Museum of Human Achievement in September of 2016.

The project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, but we need to match those funds to make the project a success! You can help us by enjoying pizza, craft beer, and the sweet sounds of Elizabeth McQueen and Christy Hays at The ABGB on Thursday, April 14!

Elizabeth McQueen – 8pm
Christy Hays – 9:30pm

Bid on baskets containing unique items including:
- gin and bourbon from Bone Spirits
- piano lessons for kids by Karla Manzur
- stuffed animals that sing
- hand-wired tweak boxes by Lindsay Greene

Elizabeth McQueen will MC the event and the artists will be present to talk about the project.

**Can’t attend the benefit but still want to support the project?**

Donate any amount - go to and click the Donate button at the bottom of the page.

Donations over $10 will receive a download code for the pre-release copy of The Quality or Condition, a compilation of audio from the team’s last intermedia project.

{{ VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Anyone who makes any sort of monetary contribution at the benefit show will receive a signed and numbered certificate stating:

“I have purchased this signed and numbered certificate stating that I have officially supported the artwork of Lauren Gurgiolo and Wendy Mitchell on Thursday, April 14, 2016.” }}

The collaborative piece featuring artists Lauren Gurgiolo, Wendy Mitchell, Lindsay Greene, Fat Fuse (Christopher Cox & Grant Johnson), and The Dialtones.

By activating trigger circuits with their bodies, the public will manipulate an array of sounds that feature audio sourced from public places in Austin, along with a coordinated display of synchronized lights.
