Time Out says

GRAMMY nominated and multiple EMMY winning guitarist Chieli Minucci (pronounced Key-eli Mee-noo-chee) is often the first call for such artists as Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Kim Waters, and even composed original music for Broadway Across America/Nickelodeon’s stage production of Dora the Explorer. His fascinating career really kicked off in 1982, the same year he created EFX with the late percussionist, George Jinda. Fans expect to hear anything when it comes to their jazz base music beds, but in the 2013 release Genesis, Chieli Minucci & Special EFX raise the bar in expectations and emotions. The tracks are robust with blues, flavor, and melodic riffs. Chieli has earned 10 Emmy Award nominations for his music on the long-running NBC daytime drama The Guiding Light and has won 3. He has also been the main producer for Universal Music’s, Gotham Music Library, having written and recorded over 100 CDs. In 2003, Special EFX released the well-received Party, which featured the popular single “Ladies Man.” In 2005 Chieli Minucci released Got it Goin’ On, which spawned the top five hit “The Juice.” Performance at 8:00 pm.
