For four days, Austin Party Weekend brings 15 labels (Dim Mak, Mad Decent, OWSLA, Stones Throw, Neon Gold, IHEARTCOMIX, PC Music, Monstercat, IAMSOUND/Fiction, Biz 3, Fool's Gold, Check Yo Ponytail, Ham On Everything, Secret Songs, Nina Las Vegas Presents) together under one banner to create the biggest party of SXSW. Catch Dim Mak’s annual showcase at the Empire Control Room & Garage from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, which will celebrate the label’s history. Label veterans and up-and-comers alike will perform, focusing on coming full circle after Dim Mak’s journey from a punk/hardcore label to an iconic indie tastemaker to a global brand. Even Steve Aoki himself will do a special set, spinning the same electro music from the late 2000’s that helped transform Dim Mak into the global music powerhouse it is today. Since the late 2000’s, Dim Mak has curated several successful events at SXSW, showcasing the best in cutting-edge electronic and indie music.
