Don Leady and his Rockin' Revue says
Connecting various American root traditions from rock, blues, mambo second line, western swing, hillbilly and big band, everything is rock n' roll on Don Leady and His Rockin' Revue's debut album POPPY TOPPY GONE. Recorded in just two days at Stuart Sullivan's Wire Recording Studio in Austin, Texas, the thirteen tracks on POPPY TOPPY GONE are meant to sound like the band sounds live.

Don Leady and His Rockin' Revue is led by Don Leady of The Tail Gators, the original LeRoi Brothers and the Grammy nominated Big Guitars From Texas project. Leady has been playing, producing and recording projects continuously since the 1980s, in recent years producing traditional roots and jazz projects. POPPY TOPPY GONE marks a return to Leady's rock n' roll roots.

Fourteen year old guitarist Jack Montesinos named the band when they started playing together in 2015. Jack is a talented multi-instrumentalist who also plays with Austin's oldest gospel group, The Original Bells of Joy. The rhythm section is comprised of blues veteran and W.C. Handy award winner Eric Pzygocki on bass and Alberto Telo on drums - both played with the late, great Nick Curran.
