Come join neighbors, friends, and the student filmmakers of UT’s East Austin Stories class for the screening of twelve new, short-documentary films on Saturday May 16th at two different east side locations. First, at 6:00 p.m. the Zavala Elementary Auditorium on 310 Robert Martinez Jr. Street and, then again, that same night, at 8:30 p.m., outside, at Kenny Dorham's Backyard, next to the historic, Victory Grill.

East Austin is a fusion of people, places, and stories, often unseen or unnoticed. University of Texas film students find stories and bring them to you. This semester, students have collaborated with artists, businesses, and communities to create an exciting variety of short documentaries including:

Two free screenings on the same night. All screenings are free. See previous East Austin Stories documentaries on the website EastAustinStories.org.
