Eeyore's Birthday Party

The 54th birthday party for Winnie the Pooh's mopiest friend is actually a fundraiser to benefit a bunch of nonprofits in Austin you can support by buying food and drinks at the free event. There's also live music from noon to 6pm; face-painting, henna and temporary tattoo artists; and maypoles to prance around. Costumes are encouraged, and it's competitive. Some notes: No smoking and no parking at the park, but there's a free shuttle from downtown. And if it's raining, the party will be rescheduled for May 6. Because like Eeyore says: "The nicest thing about the rain is that it always stops. Eventually."
