Electronique: Ka S Product & Botany At Justine's says
ÉLECTRONIQUE: KaS Product and Botany @Justine’s

The iconic French electro punk duo KaS Product is touring the states, and is coming to Justine’s in between their New York and LA shows! We will be turning Justine’s into a dark underground club for the night with strobing lights, dark corners, clouds of smoke, synth punk sounds, dance all night, sleep all day. Botany mesmerized us at sxsw, and will be performing from his LP, Dimming Awe, The Light Is Raw. Light show by The Werd Company. DJ Eric Debris of Metal Urbain will be spinning classic 90’s electronica . TheBarBat // Nightlife Photography will be capturing your party souls...

Thunder, heartbeats, stampede, earthquake, noir…

:::KaS Product:::
Their music has been considered part of the French coldwave (Cold wave is a French variant of post-punk music, primarily spread in France, South Belgium and Romandie), and electropunk movements. Formed in 1980, the duo consists of Spatsz on electronics and rhythm machines with Mona Soyoc on guitar, vocals and piano.

“Gorgeously provocative duo of Mona Soyoc and Spatz who released a couple of singles on their own punk label, then signed to RCA which seemed a remarkably odd union, which produced two blindingly brilliant albums, 'Try Out' and 'Bypass' that found the haunting, mad vocals hemmed in by and stretched out over the alternately boiling/icy keyboards, the shattering chatter of arching/dive bombing guitar and stabbing electronic rhythms.”
~Mick Mercer

Under the Botany moniker, Spencer Stephenson creates rich psychological and emotional experiences through audio. His music is a thoughtful attempt to convey the non-verbal through his particular mental prism, where sounds have potent symbolism in ways that are all but forgotten in the hermetic modern world.

“…fluid in its ability to move between the melancholic, the uplifting and the ethereal.” The album was conceived as the soundtrack to a movie that existed only in his head…”
