Embody Practice says

with HeatherAsh Amara

Embody is a somatic practice invoking the embodiment of the entire spectrum of our humanness. From our root as Source to our expression as a unique individual, Embody is a way to discover the depth and a breadth of potential latent in our becoming.

The room is the container for our experience. It is divided into three sections, Source, Witness and the World. We move dynamically through the space, practicing deep centered connection with Source, the capacity to Witness without judgment or commentary, and the ability to move our body in the World, alone and together.

Sarah Rose Marshank, who lives in Ashland, OR and teaches through Toci, created Embody after years of practicing and/or teaching in the following somatic lineages: Zen Sitting and Walking Meditation, Nia (Black Belt Instructor), 5 Rhythms (student), Soul Motion (student) and Therapeutic Bodywork (twenty years licensed, incorporating various modalities).

They all have informed her work and are fantastic disciplines of their own. But Embody is unique. Where there are many other disciplines that support accessing Source, many meditation techniques that foster the cultivation of a Witness consciousness, and numerous therapies that seek to change or heal our psyches and bodies in the world, I have never encountered a somatic method that weaves all three states together into one embodied experience.

No experience necessary.

Curiosity and willingness essential.
