Feminist Action Project Spring Conference says
This year’s theme is, “Mapping Out the Crossroads: Beyond Mainstream Feminism.” Through our conference we hope to promote intersectionality through an understanding past the media's representation of feminism.

FULL PROGRAM HERE: http://feministactionproject.blogspot.com/2016/04/conference-program-2016_5.html

The event will begin with a kickoff and a keynote speech by Kim Katrin Milan at 7:00 pm in the SAC Legislative Assembly Room (SAC 2.302). We will have a reception immediately following the keynote. We recommend you arrive 15-30 minutes early to register and check-in, which will be right outside SAC 2.302.

On Saturday, the conference will begin with registration & breakfast at 10:00 am outside the Multicultural Engagement Center (SAC 1.102). There will be a variety of workshops and sessions following until 4:45 pm, including a workshop with Kim Katrin Milan! Registration will be available all day and you are free to come and go as you desire.

Our goals include: representing the experiences and perspectives of attendees, prioritizing 101-level introductions to theories and movements, highlighting the complexities of identity in relation to the feminist and other activist communities, and placing a special emphasis on representations and misconceptions of feminism.

There is a suggested donation is $15 (no one is turned away because of cost) and includes snacks at the reception on Friday, breakfast, lunch, and snacks on Saturday.

We are very excited about this year’s conference and we look forward to seeing you there!
