Austin Mayor, Steve Adler, will proclaim August 15th 2015 as Honey Bee Awareness Day in support of this year's Tour de Hives! The proclamation ceremony will take place on August 6th, 2015. (***Dinner at Uncle Billy's afterwards!)

PLEASE WEAR BLACK AND YELLOW and/or wear your honey bee club or other honey bee related t-shirts to show your support for this proclamation! Bee Costumes, Beesuits, Bee Antennae, Bee ANYTHING highly encouraged!!! :) The more BUZZ we create, the more public AWARENESS we can elevate! :)

City officials ask that you arrive no later than 5:15 and check-in with Deena Estrada or Myrna Rios at the table located right outside of Chambers.

Music and Proclamations begin at 5:30 in Council Chambers at City Hall located at 301 W. Second Street. Prior to proclamations, there is a local musician that performs one song. Expect to be there one hour at most.

There is parking available at City Hall, just bring your parking ticket with you and they will validate for you. Thank you EVERYONE!!!! See you at the 3rd Annual Tour de Hives event on August 15th, too! It's gonna bee big!
