Hope Day 2016 says
Texas 4000 for Cancer will be hosting Hope Day at the HOPE Farmer's Market at 412 Comal Street on Sunday, April 10th. Hope Day allows us to share our mission of hope with the Austin community through family-friendly activities, cancer support resources, and interactive games. Join us!

Texas 4000 is dedicated to fighting cancer by sharing hope, knowledge and charity. We cultivate the next generation to lead the fight against cancer through our cornerstone event, a 4,500-mile bike ride from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska.

We have live music from local artist, Austin Burns, a free yoga class taught by Kat Sisler, a free petting zoo from Tiny Tails and fun performances from the University of Texas comedy improv troupe, Gigglepants and a capella group, Longhorn Singers.

There will also be informational booths hosted by local cancer support organizations including Be the Match and Camp Kesem. Come learn about their mission and what they are doing to support the cancer fighting community!

In addition, there will be a FREE skin cancer screening booth available. Screenings are open to everyone and informal - so there will be no need to show IDs or disrobe. *Please note that these are screenings, so no formal diagnoses or procedures will occur. You will be provided with information on further action if need be.

In addition, the Hope Farmers Market is a fun and family-friendly venue for shopping and eating!

Here's our schedule of events:
11:00am Free yoga class with Kat Sisler
12:00pm Gigglepants Comedy Improv
