Invisible Intersections Part 1 says
The Invisible Intersections Project is a mixed media art exhibition spanning multiple venues that will illuminate the diverse yet often overlooked everyday people that make Austin’s African-American Cultural Heritage District a unique and culturally vibrant epicenter of Black Culture.

In cooperation with the Six Square Austin's Black Cultural Districtt, Austin History Center, Austin Public Library, The Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce, local artists, and businesses, the Six Square Project will commission artists from various media including photography, painting, film, video, and sculpture to create “portraits” of local citizens that live within the Six Square District.

Uniting landscape, collective memory, objects and walking the Invisible Intersections Projects will invite the public to expand its understanding of the importance of Black Culture in Austin and solidify the history embedded in the stories of the people who live in this district.

This multiple-site exhibition will encompass three culturally significant locations, The Austin African American Cultural and Heritage Facility/Dedrick Hamilton House, Six Square Austin's Black Cultural District and George Washington Carver Museum & Cultural Center, as well as highlight six of the most symbolic street intersections within the six square miles that make up the the Austin African American Cultural Heritage District.
