Wednesday 3/18 2pm at Austin Convention Center Jim Marshall (1936-2010) is world-renowned as the pioneer of rock-and-roll photography. A principal photographer at Woodstock and the only photographer allowed backstage at the Beatles’ final concert. He immortalized bands such as the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane before they became household names. His unlimited access to musicians allowed him to capture some of the most iconic images in music history. Photographers today do not have the same, unlimited access as Marshall did. We'll discuss the lasting impact and influence of Marshall's work on the business of music photography in the present day.
