This event is part of the Government of Japan's ongoing Walk in U.S. Talk on Japan initiative to share information about Japan, with the goal to provide the opportunity for open exchange of information and opinions on U.S. - Japanese relations.

This delegation is visiting Austin for the first time and GAACC and AARC are partnering to host a discussion about Abenomics, the existing business climate and explore opportunities for global entrepreneurs.

The delegation is led by Mr. Yasuo Saito, former Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia, Russia, and France, has served as Consul General in Atlanta and representative to UNESCO. Mr. Saito currently serves as executive board member of the Japanese Olympic Committee. He will discuss the revival of the Japanese economy, Japan's security policy and prospects for the Olympics.

Other delegation members and their areas of expertise:

- Mr. Hiroshi Tsukamoto, former Deputy Director General for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry - Japan's energy strategy and cutting edge technology.

- Mr. Tetsuo Kitagawa, former Head of the Overseas PR Division for Toyota - Mentality of Monosukuri (creative design and manufacturing) as practiced by Toyota

- Ms Miyuki Kobayashi, college instructor - Japanese culture and its unique communication forms

- Mr Takehiro Noma, university student - experience and revival of the earthquake in Sendai, youth perspective

This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served but you must register.
