July 4th Fireworks Paddle

Avoid the inevitable traffic as Austinites hurry to Auditorium Shores for the city's Fourth of July fireworks display, and rent a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddle board instead for a view that's better than lakeside. Rowing Dock will close for regular rentals at 7pm and re-open for the Independence Day festivities as 7:45. Music starts at Auditorium Shores at 8:30pm and fireworks begin an hour later. Be sure to make a reservation.
