July Green Drinks
with Dustin Fedako, Founder and CEO of Compost Pedallers

Wednesday, July 15, 2015
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Livestrong Foundation, 2201 E 6th St (map)

Come grab a drink or two at this month's Green Drinks happy hour. Dustin Fedako, founder and CEO of Austin Compost Pedallers, will talk with us about the history and mission of his mobile composting business. Free (delicious) beers have been generously donated by Save the World Brewing for your tasting. We'll see you at Livestrong next month!

Compost Pedallers is a 100% bike-powered compost recycling program in Austin, TX that collects compostables from homes and businesses and pedals them directly to nearby urban farms and community gardens to grow more local food. Our mission is to build a more vibrant Austin community by reducing waste, strengthening our local food system, and re-connecting neighbors to each other and the places that they live through more sustainable practices. All without burning a single drop of fossil fuel!

Green Drinks
The Austin Green Drinks happy hour series creates opportunities to meet with other environmental, sustainability, and clean-tech professionals in an informal atmosphere; after all, that’s how the greatest ideas are born.

Who should join?
Everyone! Especially those interested in sustainability wanting to meet others with similar interests. We attract professionals who routinely initiate innovative ways to meet the challenges of a sustainable future.

How does it work?
Come find our group at the designated venue (noted above) around 6:00 pm. Sign in, grab a drink from the bar, and strike up conversation with anybody you please! We'll pause our networking for a moment at 6:30 to listen to one our friends talk about a relevant topic. Past discussions have ranged from environmental conservation to corporate social responsibility. Come join us this month to enjoy drinks, like-minded professionals, and community involvement!
