Hummingbird Concerts are backyard concerts that provide the audience an opportunity to listen to a musician play in a more intimate, relaxed environment.

This is a “listening” environment. There will be time before, after, and in between sets to socialize and mingle. We request a donation of $15.00, which 100% goes to the musician, so thank you very much for your donations. It allows me to continue finding great musicians for you to hear and enjoy. This concert will be 50% benefit concert to support ATX Kids Club.

Things to bring to a Hummingbird Concert (HBC): Bring along a comfortable chair to sit in, practical shoes (because this in my wooded backyard, I don’t recommend sandals), mosquito spray, a light jacket, an umbrella (if it looks like it might drizzle), your drink of choice (byob) with a personal cooler. Don't forget to bring enough money for your suggested donation and CDs/merchandise. On the chilly nights, we will have the firepit going to help keep you warm. Feel free to bring friends too!

Random things… Although this is outdoors, I am requesting no smoking in the backyard, there is a designated area in the front to smoke and dispose of cigarette butts.

Let the music BEGIN.... Music will start at 8pm. To RSVP for a show, email hummingbird@hummingbirdconcerts.org.

Emily Kate Boyd Bio
Emily Kate Boyd is an Americana, rock, folk, blues, and country music singer and songwriter. As a performing artist, she's a poet and storyteller, making her live performance an original and deeply heartfelt experience. Emily creates threads of Americana that draw inspiration from the Appalachian traditions, Jazz, Southern Rock and Blues.

A woman of the world, her hometown is Chattanooga, Tennessee, though Emily splits residency with adopted home of Buenos Aires, Argentina where she is currently expanding her independent label, ARCA Records. Her latest release, “In the Woods”, includes sessions recorded in Atlanta Georgia, Floyd Virginia and Buenos Aires with local musicians in each of those cities.

Emily has shared the stage with many notable singer-songwriters, including live performances with John Mayer, Clay Cook (o/ Zac Brown Band), Shawn Mullins, Alana Davis and many more. Her rich, bluesy voice is reminiscent of Laura Marling, though many associate her style with artists like Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt and Madeleine Peyroux. Best served in a listening room environment, Emily’s acoustic set brings a passion and energy that deeply connects with her audience.
