Doug Maake aka Realtime has been a professional drummer and percussionist for 21 years, and has been a DJ/Producer for 19 years. As one half of the drum and bass duo arQer and Realtime, he has made and released drum and bass, hip hop, dubstep, techno, ambient and electro for international labels: DSCI4, Outbreak Ltd, Gain, Nerve, Patrol the Skies, Schedule One, Rockers 175, Peer Pressure, Dubkraft, Monkey Bizness, Higher Level, Assimilate, and Hard:Edged. He is also part of the musical collective known as Molly on the Floor, who were nominated in the 2013 Houston Press Music Awards for best electronic act in Houston. Realtime has been a mainstay in US Rave culture since 1998 since his first release on the massive UK label DSCI4, making him one of the first American artists to break into the notoriously fickle UK Drum and Bass scene. He has been had a steady presence DJing at many festivals and clubs not only in and around Texas but also throughout the United States. Realtime has toured Europe extensively as a DJ most recently performing in Norway, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and Czech Republic.
