Glori B is a poet, teacher, filmmaker, and mother based in Austin, Texas. As a member of the 2013 Neo-Soul Slam Team which became Group Piece Champions, she also won the honor of 2013 National Head to Head Haiku Deathmatch Champion. She has represented Austin Poetry Slam at the Individual World Poetry Slam three years in a row, placing 22nd last year. In 2014 she placed 6th at Texas Grand Slam, and she will be the first poet to represent Houston’s Write About Now Poetry at a PSi event, competing in the 2015 Women of the World Poetry Slam. She has self-published four chapbooks for herself and published several other women in the Austin Slam scene. Outside of slam, Glori teaches 6th-8th grade reading, plays board games, and is an adorable mess of awkward anxiety.
Neo-Soul Lounge is Austin's Premiere Open Mic venue attracting artist from all over the country. Participation is open to everyone. There is a $6 cover starting at 8 pm. Mr. Catfish & More serves food, beer and wine during the event.
