Nina Hartmann, 'Limit-Experience' Opening reception & book release Join us Saturday evening, March 14th, for the opening reception of Nina Hartmann's exhibition 'Limit-Experience' in our gallery space. We are very happy to be able to work with Hartmann and present her new work. Farewell Books & Boo Boo Books will also be releasing a very limited edition hardcover monograph / exhibition catalog for Limit-Experience the same night. We look forward to seeing you all. Saturday, March 14th, 2015 Farewell Books 913 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702 Free & open to the public / 7 - 9 PM ---------------------------------------------------------------- This new body of work features an imagined alphabet of symbols that explores themes of mystery, the unknown, the collective unconscious, mind expansion/control and creative destruction. The work stems from a large body of research focusing on specific personalities, spiritual phenomenons, and historical events. 'Limit-Experience' is Hartmann's first solo show. The 'Limit-Experience' catalog will be released the same night. The book is in a limited edition of 50, each copy is hand numbered and will be signed by the artist. NINA HARTMANN (b.1990) is a multi-media artist currently working out of Providence, RI. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Hartmann's work has been shown in numerous group shows, including Galerie Nowhere in Montreal, and Milk Gallery in New York City, She has been featured in Vice Magazine, Juxtapoz Magazine, and Impose Magazine. Hartmann also focuses much of her practice on creating, publishing, and curating artist books and zines, as well as other forms of multiples.
