No Underdogs Here: Changing the Female Narrative After a year of feminist opining reaching an all time high whilst advertisers and brands continue to go to new lengths trying to reach the coveted demographic of the "Indie Women," it's undeniable that women represent the power play of the 21st Century. Why, then, are women the most underrepresented and misrepresented people in media? Meet Kassidy Brown and Allison Rapson, co-founders of We are the XX and creators of A Woman's Place: Documenting the Frontlines of Feminism, an original series created by and for an international, connected generation of women that takes you around the world and provides an undiluted, truthful look into the lives of female revolutionaries, leaders, and activists. Brown and Rapson share their perspectives on media, feminism and how to reach and represent 21st Century Women through content. The presentation will be kicked off with an introduction from industry veteran Lauren Zalaznick, former EVP of NBC Universal.
