2014 nominee of the prestigious German world music award in the European Charts, an Austin World Music award winner, a nominee of the 2008 US Artist Award, Rajamani is distinguished for having redefined Romani (Gypsy) music by taking it back to India, the historic homeland of the Romani people.
Rajamani has toured internationally and has recorded and performed with artists wide-ranging in style including Gypsy Kings, Willie Nelson, Edie Brickell, L. Shanker, Eric Johnson, Paravai Munniamma, Joel Guzman, Dotschy Reinhardt from the Django Reinhardt family amongst many other international artists including performances for the legendary Paco De Lucia and Vijayalakshmi. Joel Guzman
As a youngster, squeezebox man Joel Guzman was known amongst his senior fellow accordion players as "El Pequeno Gigante." meaning "the small giant". Today Guzman is one of the world's most prominent accordion player squeezing music out of his melodic box which covers many genres. Joel Guzman & Sarah Fox and Los Aztex, whose stunning performances have propelled them into the national stage garnering them 3 Grammy nominations in the Best Tejano Album category in 2009, 2010, and 2011 as well two Grammy wins in 2004 and 2005.
