Menopause has been referred to as 'the Change' as yoga students we learn from experience the best way to navigate change is yoga and meditation. This series will draw from all styles of yoga and use meditation and asana to minimize discomfort and improve the quality of life for women. Yoga asana rejuvenates the system and brings it into balance, improving the immune system and increasing positive thinking. Meditation reduces mental chatter and has been found to increase plasma melatonin levels and improve sleep quality.

Few women experience all symptoms, but an estimated 55 to 65 percent of them do experience some mild menopause-related symptoms. If you are one of these women, you will find strategies to embrace and maneuver the challenges of this life change. Diet, exercise, change in lifestyle and stress reduction are all ways to help women move into this phase of life with energy, strength and enthusiasm.

Each week we will delve into a different aspect of the journey. Discussion and practice will cover physical and emotional elements bringing new insights into this topic.
Join DeLora and Laura for a 4 week series to look at the topic of midlife transition and menopause. No experience is necessary.
