Record Run 5 K With Livestrong

We are teaming up with Livestrong to break a world record and end cancer, and you’re invited! On Sunday, Feb 22 at Camp Mabry (Austin, TX), we will be running a 5K like no other (walking is welcome as well, and Ghost Runner options are also available if you cannot make the event in person). The centerpiece of the 5K course will feature our collection of over ONE MILLION pennies, and we encourage you to bring your own spare change so that you can be recognized as a contributor to a world record and outstanding cause. The event will be featured by Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and will be a demonstration by our community, state, and nation of our support for those who have been affected by cancer. If you would like to dedicate your run/walk to someone, we will have a wall where we encourage you to write their name and recognize their impact on your life. Whether you are a runner, walker, parent, or child, there will be opportunities for fun, games, snacks, athleticism, and giving back. Each runner's/walker's package includes a collectible event t-shirt, bib number, a tote bag filled with freebies, snacks, a medal if you place in your division, access to any activities and games taking place on-site, and the opportunity to be part of breaking a world record.
