The debate raged in the boardroom of the Team Spiridon Towers over the theme for this month's pub run: moustaches, or a celebration of Moldovan Independence Day? It was finally decided that moustaches were easier, and even our Committee for Moldovan Cultural Recognition could tell us where Moldova was, anyway.
So. Don't shave/bleach that furry beer sieve just yet, and come out to have some fun, and raise dough for Emancipet, and their mission to provide affordable spay/neuter and other veterinary services.
Here's the skinny:
- You bring a $5 recommended donation. 100% of the donations from participants and the three bars we visit, and proceeds from auction items, will go to Emancipet.
- We'll start and end at Easy Tiger We'll take off at about 7:15pm, heading to @Hi Hat Public House, then @Zilker Brewing Co. No stretch of running will be much over a mile, and walking is as cool as Tom Selleck's classic soup strainer.
- All locations will be dog-friendly, but it will almost certainly be too hot for them to be comfortable. If you bring a dog, you're walking, and keeping him or her in the shade, off of hot pavement, and well-hydrated.
- Don't got a moustache? That's OK. We'll have some fakies, some lip wigs for you.
- No drunk driving - be prepared, or ask someone for a ride if you need it!
Finally, spread the word, and bring your friends - we want to make this one bigger than that thing that lives under Wilfred Brimley's nose.
