This one woman show written by Tony nominated actress Charlayne Woodard begins with a dangerous premature birth and two young parents who place their child’s survival directly in the hands of God. Pretty Fire intertwines tender memories of triumph, faith, adversity, and love from an African-American childhood that entertains while connecting to deep places of the heart. Starring award winning actress FELIZ DIA MCDONALD (Austin Critics Table Award, B. Iden Payne Award). Directed by special guest director, WILLIAM EARL RAY. Former Artistic Director of the Ndaba (Pronounced in-da-ba) Cultural Ensemble Theatre (Tacoma, WA) and former artist in resident for The African American Repertory Theatre (Dallas, TX).
