Super Smash Brews got off to a killer start, but that was only the beginning. This month we are going to change the format to make it accessible to more players. Brackets will now be 12-person double elimination, with 1st place of each qualifying round taking home a rare amiibo. Also, we will now be inviting the top 4 players from this session's 3 qualifying rounds to compete in the Session 2 Finals. First place at the Session 2 Finals will be taking home a $100 cash prize! Spots fill up fast on gameday, so shoot me a message now to preregister. Oh, and as always, there is no buy-in to compete in Super Smash Brews!
We are going to add a second setup during tournament play to help move things along quicker. On top of that, the rules will now include blind picks, and 3/5 sets for losers finals during qualifiers to make the loser's bracket more exciting for spectators.
Of course, we'll still be handing out a Wii U game at the end of finals. Entries are obtained by signing up to compete during a tournament, or by purchasing one of our awesome pizza or drink specials. Order often because each individual item includes another entry. Make sure to ask your server for an entry form after each order, they get busy during the event!
Nintellectuals, please express your creativity by wearing a costume or other Ninspired apparel to Smash Brews. We are also looking for folks who wish to create and sell awesome Nintendo-themed merchandise here at the event, so shoot me a message if you're feeling crafty.
