Swings Asunder Workshop Presentation

Join us for a sneak peek of Sky Candy's upcoming theatrical production Swings Asunder! This workshop presentation is the culmination of a series of exploratory workshops led by director Nathan Brumbaugh. You won't want to miss this stunning show, which will feature new work by a variety of aerialists, dancers and movers of all sorts, as well as aerial acts by the Sky Candy Studio Company and our intermediate/advanced students. We invite you to stay after the presentation for an informal talk-back- we would love to hear your feedback on this developing work! Swings Asunder is Sky Candy's newest aerial theatre production opening at the Rollins Theater in June 2015. Using elements of modern dance, aerial and acrobatics the show is an avant garde exploration of social rituals, the development and dissolution of gender roles and identity, and ultimately our outlook on our lives and what we are capable of. Admission is a suggested donation of $10 at the door- no one will be turned away for lack of funds. All proceeds from this workshop presentation will go towards production costs for Swings Asunder.
