Trail Of Lights

Have the holidays truly arrived in Austin until Trail of Lights takes place? Our guess is probably not. This year, the 53rd annual event transforms Zilker Park into a magical display with over two million colorful lights, plus food trucks, parties, interactive experiences and live music. A variety of performances take place each night, from Alan Haynes, the 512 Four and the West Austin Dance Academy on opening night to Datura, Clickety Cloggers and Here Be Dragons on the last evening. Themed nights also occur throughout the Trail's run, including Heroes Night (Dec 12), Cap City Music Night (Dec 14) and Movie Night (Dec 19). Plus, you'll be able to give back by contributing to the Trail's food drive—bring a canned good on any night you attend to donate to the Central Texas Food Bank.
