Join us at The Red Room Lounge for an exclusive opportunity to welcome winemaker Diane Wilson of Wilson Winery to Austin.
Diane Wilson balances intellect with intuition. A self-described perfectionist, she is constantly refining her vineyard practices, wines and techniques, even at times using unorthodox methods. A self-taught vintner, she combined her degree in Biochemistry with her wine-making artistry, Diane learned about what makes an excellent wine from hands-on experience. She relies on her senses—sight, smell, and taste—during the oak-aging process to know when it’s time to blend or bottle. Her acute sense of smell has served her well, Diane has earned the universal respect of wine-making peers, grape growers and critics alike, earning her more than 100 Gold Medals and multiple 90-plus scores. At the 2011 International Women’s Wine making Competition, Diane won three Best of Class awards as well as Best of Show and Best Wine by a Women Winemaker. Her notoriety as a prominent winemaker has been instrumental in advancing the recognition of Dry Creek Valley as a premium wine growing region for Zinfandel.
$35 ticket includes tasting of six wines and cheese.
