Ann Rostow speaks on Marriage Equality
(RSVP info below)
Ann Rostow is the former Managing Editor of the Texas Triangle, for many years the statewide GLBT weekly paper for the Lone Star state. After a decade as a financial reporter, she began covering the GLBT community with an emphasis on law and politics in the mid-nineties. She has written a regular news column for the San Francisco Bay Times since 1995, published a monthly analytical essay for Girlfriends magazine for several years, covered breaking news for Planet Out, and written for other GLBT magazines such as The Advocate and Fight.
One of the earliest commentators to focus on the fight for marriage, she brings a historical perspective to the marriage equality movement in the United States as it enters what could be its final year.
Ann went to high school in Austin, left in 1973 and moved back in 2001. She lives here with her wife, who teaches English at Manor High School.
