This eight-class Beginner Series focuses on developing a foundational understanding of yoga postures and yogic breathing and will provide a basic explanation of the holistic and healthful reasoning behind the physical practice of yoga. Emphasis on safe alignment will assist students in maximizing the physical benefits of each yoga posture. In addition to clear instruction, students will receive a weekly review email complete with pictures of poses explored that week, culminating in a take-home booklet to help in home practice. This series is perfect for the raw beginner and for those who are interested in revisiting yoga basics. There is no yoga experience necessary and the series is suitable for those who have minor injuries. The twice-a-week format will help students get into a positive new routine of including yoga in their lives for years to come!

Meet Kim Schaefer

Kim has a gift for guiding her students through the hard work and challenge of yoga practice with laughter and humility. Her clear and encouraging teaching style allows even those new to yoga to feel supported and motivated. Her love for teaching is demonstrated in her warm, caring and approachable nature. Kim has been teaching yoga since 2006. She is also a licensed massage therapist and her knowledge of the physical and subtle bodies enable her to assist students in finding their own physical expansion and emotional acceptance. Yoga has been a powerful tool for Kim's well being and she has a deep desire to share its sweetness with others.
