The event creator says
Hallo lovelies!

I am so excited to be returning to the Austin Academy of Burlesque this coming Sunday and bringing back some high-octane classes.

I wanted to extend some notes/course descriptions to help you better prepare if you intend on taking classes with me this coming Sunday.

Bootylesque - 4pm
This is a high-energy class that is all about mastering your booty moves and embracing the power of the jiggle! Bootylesque starts with a warm-up and some toning, conditioning and stretching to target the muscles you'll need to pop, wiggle and shake that derrière. I'll lead you through booty moves that range from showgirl polished shaking to down-and-dirty twerking.
Spandex boy/booty shorts are ideal for this class, but spandex leggings/pants will work as well. If your pants/shorts are very binding/restrictive, you won't be able to see all the amazing things your rear is capable of. Some moves will involve kneeling. While I will show you some tips and tricks to help save your knees, if you are concerned, kneepads are advised. Whether you're a master of your posterior or are still wondering what all the rump fuss is about, you'll come away with a new respect for the power of your booty!

Slinky Floorwork - 6p
This class brings it down on the floor and invites you to release your inner serpent! We'll go over slow floorwork with an emphasis on isolations, extensions, and increasing flexibility while incorporating some staccato moves to better highlight all that slink. We'll also work on captivating your audience (on stage or at home) with eye contact as you roll, twist and slide on the floor. Even though the moves may be slower, you will definitely break a sweat and learn a few new tricks. Dress in clothes you can move in. Leg warmers are recommended. If you have concerns about your knees, knee pads are advised.

I'm so excited to see y'all on Sunday and please feel free to drop a line if you have any further questions.
