Here’s every South Australian restaurant that just earned a Michelin Star for 2027

It’s official: South Australian dining has hit the global stage. In a historic first for the nation, the state’s top restaurants have been awarded Michelin Stars in the world-renowned guide.

Anonymous inspectors evaluated 50 Michelin-Selected venues across the state using five criteria: quality of the ingredients used, mastery of flavour and cooking techniques, the personality of the chef in the cuisine, harmony of flavours and consistency between visits. It’s worth noting that Michelin judges purely on the plate – decor, table settings or service play no part.

The inaugural stars were unveiled last night (October 14) at the Michelin Guide Restaurant Ceremony in Adelaide. Out of 50 Michelin-Selected venues, ten earned One Star (“high-quality cooking; worth a stop”) and one claimed Two Stars (“excellent cooking; worth a detour”).

Another 16 restaurants received the Bib Gourmand – recognising friendly establishments that serve good food at moderate prices. Congratulations to all the venues recognised in the Michelin Guide South Australia 2027:
