How bloody good are holidays? Well, we think you deserve one right about now – you know, as a little treat to yourself for making it halfway through the year! In good timing, Virgin Australia has just dropped one of its biggest sales of the year, featuring 1 million discounted fares across 34 domestic and international destinations. The best part? Fares start from just $49 (aka the price of two cocktails).

The mega flight sale is live now and ends on July 27 at 11.59pm AEST, so you’ll want to alert the group chat ASAP. It covers travel dates between August 25, 2026 and June 22, 2027, meaning you could be jet-setting as early as next month. The only question left is: where to?

For less than $100, you can score one-way economy flights between Sydney and Ballina Byron or the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Hamilton Island or Proserpine (The Whitsundays), and from Melbourne to the Gold Coast or Adelaide.

International flights start at $429 return (yes, return!), including Melbourne or the Gold Coast to Bali (Denpasar). You can also snag return flights to Queenstown, Port Vila (Vanuatu) and Nadi (Fiji) for less than $600. Consider this your official sign to book that tropical getaway.

To help your budget stretch even further, Virgin Australia has partnered with Hopper to offer discounted return flight and accommodation packages to top destinations including Cairns and Bali from just $390 per person. With all the planning done for you, the only thing on your agenda is pure relaxation. BYO cucumber eye masks!
