The fourth edition of Barcelona Gallery Weekend, on from September 26 to 30, kicks off the exhibition season with offerings for art professionals as well as the general public.
Participating galleries include, among others, Ana Mas Projects, àngels barcelona, Bombon Projects, Dada Objet Trouvé, etHALL, Carles Taché, Joan Prats, Marc Domènech, Senda, Nogueras Blanchard, ProjecteSD and RocioSantaCruz.
Among featured artists are Ignazi Aballí, with his projects about the interrelation between the artistic environment and everyday life; Pedro Cabrita Reis, with his interdisciplinary work; Esther Ferrer, a pioneer of performance art; and Oriol Vilanova, with his focus on the political mechanisms that factor into the construction of history. The list of guest artists also includes Yago Hortal, Yamandú Canosa, Marc Larré, Pere Llobera, and Norwegian artist Gina Thorstensen.
