Time Out says

This is the fifth edition of Barcelona Gallery Weekend, when you have a date with galleries and contemporary art in the city, and farther afield into L'Hospitalet and Santa Margarida i els Monjos. More than 20 spaces are participating this year, with new additions such as Alalimón and Dilalica, as well as 70 artists from the local and international scene. Among the highlights are the tête-à-tête between Josep Maynou and Jordi Mitjà in the Bombon gallery, Itziar Okariz in etHall, Alex Katz in the Toni Tàpies Gallery and Jaime Pitarch in Àngels Barcelona. You'll also find activities for the non-professional public; standouts include routes to encourage collecting among the younger atendees (Artévete) and the Compositions programme, curated by Juan Canela, with the artists Mercedes Mangrané and Marc Vives, among others. Something new this year is that you'll find goings-on dotted around public areas throughout the city, creating space for discussions about art, urban planning and architecture.
