Time Out says

Inspired by Georges Perec’s novel and based on the work of around 50 artists, 'Espècies d'espais' is an exhibition commissioned by Frederic Montornés that reflects on the spaces we inhabit. Visitors can move freely between the two showing rooms, each of which represents private space (one of the rooms, a conceptualisation of the interior of a house, is based on the ephemeral architecture of the Maio studio) and public space. Viewers can discover the interrelations between the pieces and the dialogue created among the works of Lara Almarcegui, Guy Debord, Pep Duran, León Ferrari, Gordon Matta-Clark, Saul Steinberg, and other artists. Here you can also encounter the provocative works of Lucio Fontana and Luz Broto on which Montornés based the start of his research of spaces.
